We are making progress

I had a Dr. Appt. today and I am 3cm dilated and 80% effaced. What a relief. I was only 1 and 50% on Friday when I went to the WEU at Saint Johns with contractions. I guess my contractions are actually doing something. It is funny though, because a month ago they told me I was 1-2 and 80%. Seems like it depends on who checks you.... My doc is pretty conservative, so if he says 3cm and 80% I believe him. He commented on how impressed he was with my progress and expects a fast and easy (are they ever easy) labor. I can only hope since I really do not want an epidural. I have been contracting for most of the day today and just feel sick overall, so maybe tonight is the night. If not, Dr. Chris said he will induce me next week. He feels like there is no room left in my uterus, so as long as the baby is closer to my DD, there is no reason to keep him in. I am anxious but nervous at the same time. Maybe the next time I update this, I will be a mom of 3!
