It is so hard to believe that 8 years ago today I received one of the best gift in my life. Beautiful tiny Rebecca May was handed to me and Kevin and we were absolutely amazed by how beautiful she was. We were also in awe of what we, together, created. She was born almost 5 weeks before her due date on Tuesday morning. She was a little spitfire from the moment she took her first breath. We expected her to have some difficulties since she was premature but she was perfect. We had months on sleepless nights, as Becca was our baby with colic. We would walk the neighborhood at all hours of night because the warm summer air would put her to sleep. We would then tip toe into the house and place her ever so gently in her crib, and walk away. Five minutes later we would repeat the same thing. LOL
Today she is a gentle, generous, sweet young lady. She can still cause some grief, but only because she has such a strong personality and will not cave to what she believes in or wants. She is the greatest sister ever. Her brothers love her so much and want to spend time with her always. Today my beautiful daughter is a year older, but she will always be my baby.
